Location
Antalya sits on Turkey's Mediterranean coast, a mid-sized city better known for holidays than lectures, which is exactly what makes student life here feel unhurried: beaches, cliff-top parks, and the old harbor quarter of Kaleiçi are part of everyday scenery. The student community is smaller than in Istanbul or Ankara, gathered mainly around campus neighborhoods. A tram line and city buses cover the main routes, with shared minibuses filling the gaps. Living costs stay below Istanbul's, though prices climb in tourist season along the shore. Summers are long and hot, winters mild and sunny, so the swimming season stretches far into autumn — and the Taurus mountains rise behind the city for cooler weekend air.
