Istanbul Kültür University — Programs, Tuition and Admission Requirements

Istanbul Kültür University is a broad, multi-faculty private university in Istanbul. Its published list holds 152 programs spread across four levels — associate, bachelor's, master's and doctoral — with 30 taught in English and 122 in Turkish.

What separates it from many of its private peers in Istanbul is what it does not have: medicine, dentistry and pharmacy are all absent from the catalogue, and the only health entry is a single nursing program. The depth is in engineering instead — 18 engineering entries, the largest cluster in the list.

That structure shows up directly in the price. The entire program table fits between $2,250 and $13,500 a year, and the band the university registers for its degree programs runs from $3,000 to $6,290. Universities with medicine and dentistry have ceilings several times higher; without those programs, the range here stays narrow.

For an applicant whose target field is not in health, that narrowness is a real advantage. Budgeting four years is more predictable when the floor and ceiling of a catalogue are close together, and there is less chance the program you settle on costs a multiple of what you had in mind.

The second strength is the concentration in engineering. 18 engineering entries inside a 152-entry list means several branches sit within one faculty, so changing your intended branch partway through an application does not mean changing university. Alongside that, the presence of all four levels up to doctoral study means the route onward is at least open on paper within the same institution.

Bachelor's and associate admission is assessed on your high-school record, and Iran's national entrance exam plays no part in it. The 30 English-taught programs require a recognised language certificate or a pass in the university's own English exam; for the 122 Turkish-taught programs, a Turkish preparatory year is the usual route.

For master's and doctoral entry the basis is the previous degree and its transcripts, and some fields ask for additional documents. We confirm the current year's exact requirements with the university itself — we do not guess at admission conditions, and before you apply we tell you what the university has actually stated.

A bachelor's file: high-school diploma and transcripts with official translations, a copy of a valid passport, a passport photo and, for English-taught programs, a language certificate. A master's or doctoral file: the previous degree and its transcripts, and for some fields a statement of purpose and references.
